Here's how you can install your Magic Playwall decal in four easy steps!

Step 1: PREP

Do a quick wipe-down of the wall surface with a dry cloth to make sure the wall is clean, dry, and smooth. Highly recommended: take the decal out of the tube and lay flat with heavy objects on it overnight. 

Step 2: PEEL

Carefully peel the plastic film from the bottom corner of the decal. Align and place the decal on the desired surface and slowly peel away the rest of the backing while smoothing the decal at the same time.

Step 3: PRESS

Press and apply pressure on the decal to secure and activate the adhesive. Pro tip: use a hard, flat item (like a hardcover book) to smoothen out the decal and remove any air bubbles.

Step 4: PLAY

We recommend using our Dustless Chalk Crayons on the Magic Playwall! You can also use whiteboard/dry-erase markers and water-based washable markers, paints, and crayons.

Kids love that the Magic Playwall is magnetic! The decal is compatible and works best with lighweight magnets. Please note that the decal does not have the magnetic strength of a fridge so not all heavy or bulky magnets stick. Use lighter magnets for the best results!

To clean your decal, gently wipe with a damp cloth or baby wipes for everyday cleaning. For more persistent marks, a Magic Eraser or dry-erase cleaner will do the trick!

The Magic Playwall decal is designed for indoor use and performs best on clean, smooth surfaces such as painted walls, glass walls, and doors.

We cannot guarantee the Magic Playwall decal will stick to all surfaces. Certain paint finishes (eg. stain-resistant or air purifying paints) create a barrier between the wall and the decal which can cause the decal to detatch.

Please note that the decal is not designed to be removed and reapplied as this may weaken the adhesive. Think of it as a “permanent” piece of wall decor (like when you apply wallpaper) – but one that will evolve with your child!

If you do need to remove it, start from the bottom corner and gently peel away from the wall.  If there is any adhesive left on the wall, this should wipe off using a warm damp cloth.  

To ensure the decal stays on the wall securely and is safe from curious little hands prone to peeling edges, it is designed with an extra strong adhesive backing to ensure secure attachment. As such, the adhesive might not be suitable for delicate surfaces or finishes and could potentially cause damage upon removal.
